TOSYALI SARISEKI IRON AND STEEL PLANT ACHIEVED ITS INITIAL EXPORT
One of Turkey's biggest industrial investments, the Sarıseki Plant of Tosyalı Demir Çelik, began exporting its first product a while back after putting its first of its two Quantum furnaces into production. Value-added steel exports from Sarıseki Facility, which will remove 4 million tons of flat steel imports from our nation, have begun to boost the economy.
Turkey's leading global steel manufacturer, Tosyalı Holding, with its almost 40,000 facilities across three continents, 15,000 workers, and high value-added facility investments, is still striving for sustainable living.
With its investments focused on sustainability, Tosyalı, one of the top groups globally, is progressively opening the Tosyalı Demir Çelik Sarıseki Plant in İskenderun 2nd Organized Industrial Zone. This plant will manufacture high-quality, environmentally friendly steel.
One of Turkey's biggest industrial investments, the Tosyalı Demir Çelik Sarıseki Plant, began producing a while back in the first of two Quantum furnaces, and recently realized its first export to Algeria.
The 80,000 tons of these exported goods will be utilized by Algeria's top contracting company, Cosider Canalisation Spa, for the Ain Kecha dam irrigation and AVAL seawater treatment projects.
In this context, the spiral plant of Tosyalı Algerie received 249 coil steel shipments totaling 7,770 tons, ranging in width from 1500 mm to 16.00 mm in thickness. These green steel products, which are of TOS5250, or S355JR material quality, are noteworthy because they are the first to be produced in the Tosyalı Demir Çelik Sarıseki Plant's Quantum Furnace.
Additionally, Tosyalı is Turkey's first user of Quantum Furnace technology.
Utilizing the most cutting-edge technologies, the $2.5 billion Tosyalı Demir Çelik Sarıseki Plant will give Tosyalı Holding an advantage over competitors globally thanks to its Industry 4.0 compatibility. With the construction of this facility, Tosyalı became Turkey's first user of the less energy-intensive Quantum Furnace technology. Due to its advanced technology and sustainability-focused investments, the plant that produces green steel will have a carbon footprint that is 20% lower than traditional arc furnaces and 70% lower than blast furnaces. In addition to removing Turkey's 4 million tons of imports of flat steel, the Sarıseki Plant will boost the economy of the country by exporting value-added steel.
